Storytime

Storytime

The Children’s Department offers storytime sessions in the spring, fall, and winter.  Sessions include age-appropriate themed stories and activities including music, movement, and crafts.  New participants are always welcome.  Please note the age limitations outlined below for the specific storytime sessions.

Drop-in Storytime (Ages 2-5)
Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

Drop-in Infant Storytime (Ages 0-2)
Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Thursdays 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

**Please note that library policy requires that a parent or responsible caregiver accompany children under the age of 8.**

Read to Rosie

Rosie will be taking a break for the warmer months.  She really enjoyed meeting everyone and liked hearing all the great stories the kids read to her.  Check back in the fall for more dates.

Read to Dolce the Goldendoodle

Call or stop by the Children's Room to register.
Dolce

Kids ages 5 and up can sign up for a 15 minute session with Dolce between 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. on the following Tuesdays:
September 10th & 24th
October 8th & 22nd
November 12th & 26th
December 10th


Kids will love the comfortable experience of reading to Dolce the goldendoodle. Dolce will listen to your child read and help develop their reading confidence. Dolce and her handler Peg Kirby have been trained by "Tufts Paws for People," a non-profit organization in Central Massachusetts associated with the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
